2010-2011 Calendar
Since our classes meet only once per week, The Potter's School cannot observe all U.S. federal holidays, because they usually fall on Mondays. Observing all U.S. federal holidays over the course of a year would result in a significant disadvantage for those courses scheduled with Monday sessions. We regret not being able to more fully demonstrate due respect for the purpose of these holidays, and the inconvenience this may cause some families.
All times listed are U.S. Eastern Time. The school will come off Daylight Savings Time on November 7, 2010, and go on Daylight Savings Time on March 13, 2011. The schedule will be:
First Semester:  September 13 - January 21*
Thanksgiving Vacation:  November 20 - November 28
Christmas Vacation:  December 18 - January 2
Second Semester:  January 24 - May 27**
Winter Break:  February 19 - February 27
Spring Break:  April 16 - April 24

*Some classes have optional open houses for orientation during the week of Sep 6. These are typically held at the same time and in the same room as when the class will actually be held, or an alternate time and room will be provided. There are no open house sessions on Labor Day.
**While there will be no classes after May 27, some courses will administer final exams that are due the week of May 30 (Memorial Day week).
