The download and installation process of GP5 differs slightly depending on your operating system. Below are instructions for both
Mac and
Windows users. Follow these instructions to login, download, and install GP5.
Instructions for Mac Users
If you are not already logged into StudyPlace, do so now following these steps:
- Go to your school's login page and enter your username and password
- Once you arrive at your user interface, click the Start button
- Select GP5 Setup to open the GP5 Setup window
Setup Procedures
- Click the button in Step #1 to download GP5.
Click the link in the Open URL box that appears.
- Go to the downloads folder on your computer and open the GP5 file. The GP5 application window will appear.

- If your window View is not set to as Icons (as shown above), use the View menu to set it to as Icons.

- Once the view is set to as Icons, click and drag the GP5 icon (A) to the Applications folder (B) and drop it.
Note: Do Not double-click on the "A" icon to run GP5. Doing so will limit the functionality GP5 and it will not be installed in the Applications folder on the Mac.

- To start GP5, double-click the GP5 alias icon (C).
- Right click (control + click) on the GP5 application window and then eject the GP5 file.
Note:For future uses of GP5 you can simply go to your Applications folder and launch the program from there since it has already been downloaded and installed.
- Return to your StudyPlace page and click the Done button to close the Download box.
- Now you can continue to Step #2 in the GP5 Setup window to configure the program by clicking the button.
- Click the blue link in the Autoconfig as User window.
- This will open GP5 to the Rooms List.
- Go back to StudyPlace and click the Done button.
- Continue to Step #3 to confirm your Audio settings using the Audio Tuning Wizard. Click the link to open an article that explains how to use the Wizard.
- After reading the article, return to GP5 and click in the blue field to select a room.
- Click the headphone button in the toolbar to start the Wizard and follow the prompts.
- Continue to Step #4 confirm video playback.
- Click the blue link in the Play Recording window.
- This will play back a recording in GP5 for you. Wait for 3 minutes until it finishes and follow the prompt.
- Go back to StudyPlace and click Done in the Play Recording window.
You are now ready for training or class.
Instructions for Windows Users
If you are not already logged into StudyPlace, do so now following these steps:
- Go to your school's login page and enter your username and password

- Click the button in Step #1 to download GP5.
- Click the link in the Open URL box that appears.
This will perform an automatic download and installation of GP5.
- Return to your StudyPlace page and click the Done button to close the Download box.
- Now you can continue to Step #2 in the GP5 Setup window to configure the program by clicking the button.
- Click the blue link in the Autoconfig as User window.
- This will open GP5 to the Rooms List.
- Go back to StudyPlace and click the Done button.
- Continue to Step #3 to confirm your Audio settings using the Audio Tuning Wizard. Click the link to open an article that explains how to use the Wizard.
- After reading the article, return to GP5 and click in the blue field to select a room.
