It may be necessary, on occasion, to open a terminal meeting on a Mac to perform various tasks.

Use the instructions below to open a terminal meeting.

  1. Double-click on the hard drive icon on the desktop.

  2. Select the hard drive from the list of devices on the left side of the finder window and then double-click the Applications folder in the list on the right.

  3. Find the Utilities folder in the list on the right side of the Applications folder and double-click on it.

  4. Find the Terminal application in the list on the right side of the Utilities folder and double-click on it.

  5. The Terminal window will appear as shown below.
