To insert special characters in StudyPlace on a Mac:

1. In the text box or field, position the cursor where you want to enter the special character
   
2. Then go to the system menu bar at the top of your screen and select Edit > Special Characters (see below)
   
   
   
   
3. This will open the special character menu. Scroll to the top and enter the letter you want options for and then click on the character in the map that you want to select. (see below)
   
   
   
   
   
4. That will add it to the text box. When you are done, save your work and check the student/family view.
